What to expect
The Moon passes entirely into Earth's shadow and turns a deep copper-red โ light refracted through Earth's atmosphere, carrying the sunrise-and-sunset hues of every person on the day side of the planet. Safe to view with the naked eye from start to finish.
The total or partial phase lasts 57m 0s for observers where the Moon is above the horizon.
Best visible from: Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia. Outside these regions, observers either see a smaller partial eclipse or none at all โ Earth's curvature puts the event below the horizon.
